Fly ash is a solid waste produced after coal is burned in thermal power plants and industrial furnaces. It is mainly formed by the inorganic components in the fuel melting at high temperatures, and its appearance is similar to fine powder. After drying, fly ash can be effectively utilized.
The drying process of fly ash mainly includes the following steps:
1. Raw material feeding: wet fly ash needs to be preliminarily screened and dusted before entering the dryer. Drying process: The hot air drying method is adopted. The wet fly ash is constantly turned and stirred in the fly ash dryer. The wet fly ash is dried through the full contact between the hot air and the material.
2. Particle fineness control: The fly ash after drying enters the particle fineness control system, and the particle fineness is adjusted to the appropriate level through the action of the screen and centrifugal force.
3. Emission treatment: The exhaust gas and particulate matter discharged by the dryer need to be treated and filtered, generally using a spray dust collector or an electrostatic dust collector for treatment.
The uses of fly ash are mainly reflected in the following aspects:
1. Cement manufacturing: Fly ash is a common cement admixture that can replace part of the cement raw materials, reduce production costs, and improve the working performance and durability of concrete, and increase the strength and durability of concrete.
2. Concrete products: Fly ash can be used as an admixture for concrete products (such as bricks, pipes, plates, etc.) to improve the strength and durability of the products, and at the same time improve the fluidity and crack resistance of concrete.
3. Roadbed engineering: Fly ash used in roadbed engineering can improve the stability and impermeability of the soil, reduce the expansion and contraction of the soil, and extend the service life of the roadbed.
4. Making building brick products: Fly ash and other raw materials can be processed through a series of processes to make different concrete blocks, such as aerated concrete bricks, fly ash concrete small hollow blocks, fly ash bricks, etc.
5. Chemical industry: High-purity alum can be extracted from fly ash, which can be used to synthesize alumina, and can also be used to make non-oxide ceramic material SiC powder. After a certain refinement of fly ash, it can be made into a polymer filling material to modify the synthetic material.
The fly ash drying system is designed to convert wet fly ash into dry material, which is convenient for subsequent application in building materials, cement, concrete and other industries, while reducing waste emissions from thermal power plants to achieve the goals of environmental protection and resource recycling. Many mineral processing plants face a confusing problem: even with the same processing capacity, some copper concentrate drying lines consume far more fuel and power than others. The energy gap usually reaches 20%–40% in actual operation. The difference i
Utilizing boiler exhaust gas (120°C–180°C) from a power plant as the heat source for a fly ash dryer is a core strategy for reducing costs in fly ash recovery projects. However, three key issues must be addressed in practice:
Freshly washed sand retains too much surface moisture, unsuitable for direct storage, transportation or end-use processing. For sand production plants, professional sand drying equipment is essential to consistently reduce moisture and qualify finished sa
In the slag processing industry, traditional drying equipment often suffers from issues such as low thermal efficiency, rapid heat loss, and poor sealing, resulting in significant energy waste and high drying costs. In reality, the key to overcoming these
