Jiutian Company has recently finalized the implementation of an iron ore sludge drying project in Caofeidian, Tangshan, creating a highly efficient and stable drying production line for a local mineral processing enterprise. Designed with a processing capacity of 93 tons per hour, the project handles iron ore sludge with an initial moisture content of up to 24%. Utilizing a complete set of drying equipment for continuous dewatering, the system consistently reduces the moisture content of the finished product to below 12%.
Iron ore sludge is a byproduct of iron ore beneficiation; characterized by high viscosity and high moisture content, it poses significant challenges when stockpiled directly. Such storage not only occupies vast amounts of land but also leads to material loss, dust pollution, and the waste of mineral resources. Once processed by the Jiutian drying system, the sludge exhibits significantly improved flowability and meets quality standards, allowing it to be reintroduced into the production cycle and enabling the resource recovery of solid waste.
Leveraging extensive engineering experience in slag drying, Jiutian Company optimized the drying process to suit the specific characteristics of iron ore sludge, ensuring the production line operates continuously and stably over long periods. Upon completion and commissioning, the project will effectively lower solid waste disposal costs for the client and enhance the comprehensive utilization rate of mineral resources.
The successful implementation of the Caofeidian project further expands Jiutian’s portfolio in the field of solid waste drying for the metallurgical and mining industries. Moving forward, Jiutian Company remains committed to the R&D of solid waste drying equipment, providing customized drying solutions to the mining and metallurgical sectors and supporting the industry's transition toward green, low-carbon operations.
