Blast furnace slag is a non-metallic byproduct produced during the blast furnace ironmaking process. It is mainly composed of silicates, aluminum silicates and calcium aluminum silicates. During the smelting process, these "slags" float on the surface of molten iron and are then removed. Blast furnace slag has a wide range of uses, including as concrete aggregate and cement substitute. Blast furnace slag dryer, also called cement slag dryer, slag dryer, is an indispensable equipment in metallurgy, building materials, chemical industry and other industries. It is widely used in the drying of slag, carbide slag, limestone, clay, river sand, quartz sand and other materials.
The blast furnace slag dryer is mainly composed of a rotary cylinder, a supporting wheel device, a feeding and discharging device, a transmission device, a dust removal system, etc. The heat source system includes coal, steam, thermal oil, electric heating, fuel oil and gas, etc. Working principle: The wet material is fed into the hopper through a belt conveyor or a bucket elevator, and enters the feeding end through the feeder. The slag is heat exchanged and countercurrent dried under the action of the copying plate to achieve a drying effect. The dried material falls into the discharge elevator through the discharge cover and is lifted to the dry slag storage for storage.
