Phosphogypsum is a solid waste generated during the wet process (decomposition of phosphate ore with sulfuric acid, nitric acid, or hydrochloric acid) used by phosphate chemical enterprises to produce phosphoric acid. Typically, 4-5 tons of phosphogypsum are produced for every 1 ton of phosphoric acid produced. Phosphogypsum, as the main byproduct of the phosphoric acid industry, contains 10% -20% crystalline water and free water. If directly stacked, it will seriously occupy land and leak and pollute groundwater. Therefore, it must be dried before efficient utilization. Phosphogypsum dryer is a key equipment for converting "waste residue" into "resources". It not only solves the problems of land occupation and environmental pollution caused by waste residue accumulation, but also achieves green recycling of industrial by-products by converting waste residue into high-quality gypsum resources.
Rotary dryer is the most common type of phosphogypsum dryer. The main body of the dryer adopts a long cylindrical drum, which is slightly inclined to the ground. The core of a phosphogypsum dryer is to use the hot air generated by coal or gas combustion in a hot blast stove to exchange heat with the moisture in the wet material, causing the moisture in the wet phosphogypsum to evaporate and reduce its moisture content. The core structure of the equipment includes a heat source system, a conveying system, and a drying system. It adopts a three-layer drum co current and counter current composite process: the inner layer is spiral co current dehydration, the middle layer is counter current material lifting to enhance heat exchange, and the outer layer is rectangular multi loop to extend drying time. Adapt to the drying needs of materials in various fields such as chemical engineering, environmental protection, and food.
1. Energy saving and consumption reducing: The new generation of phosphogypsum dryer has optimized the combustion system and hot air circulation design, improving thermal efficiency and reducing energy consumption.
2. Intelligent control: Utilizing sensors and PLC systems to achieve automated control, real-time monitoring of various parameters such as temperature and moisture can be achieved, reducing human operation and improving stability.
3. Environmental emissions: Cooperate with desulfurization and dust removal devices to achieve flue gas purification, reduce sulfur dioxide and particulate matter emissions, and meet environmental requirements.
Phosphogypsum was originally a "waste residue", but after being dried by a phosphogypsum dryer, it has been transformed from a "waste residue" to a "resource". If you are interested in the phosphogypsum treatment process, please feel free to contact us at any time.
Many mineral processing plants face a confusing problem: even with the same processing capacity, some copper concentrate drying lines consume far more fuel and power than others. The energy gap usually reaches 20%–40% in actual operation. The difference i
Utilizing boiler exhaust gas (120°C–180°C) from a power plant as the heat source for a fly ash dryer is a core strategy for reducing costs in fly ash recovery projects. However, three key issues must be addressed in practice:
Freshly washed sand retains too much surface moisture, unsuitable for direct storage, transportation or end-use processing. For sand production plants, professional sand drying equipment is essential to consistently reduce moisture and qualify finished sa
In the slag processing industry, traditional drying equipment often suffers from issues such as low thermal efficiency, rapid heat loss, and poor sealing, resulting in significant energy waste and high drying costs. In reality, the key to overcoming these
